DUTCH POETRY IN ITALY

The performance “Lo soffia il cielo. Cosí” by the Dutch artist Connie Dekker was performed for the first time in 2003 at the Rocca of Carmignano, in occasion of the exhibition “Moto a luogo”, curated by Saretto Cincinelli and organized by Gallery Schema / Cantiere d’Arte Alberto Moretti at Carmignano.

“Lo soffia il cielo. Cosi” by Connie Dekker will be realized again 25 June 2006 at the Castel of Monsummano Alto in occasion of the exhibition “Misure del tempo”, curated by Giovanna Uzzani and organized by the museum of Contemporary Art, Mac’n, at Monsummano Terme.

The performance “Lo soffia il cielo. Cosí” was realized with the collaboration of the Dutch poets: F. van Dixhoorn, Melle Hammer, Hans Kloos, K. Michel, F. Starik

More INFO on the 25th of June:

25 June will also be the last day of the exhibition “Misure del tempo”, a group show with the artists: Emanuele Becheri, Antionio Catelani, Fabio Cresci, Connie Dekker, Paolo Fabiani, L. Addo Trinci, on show of Connie Dekker is the work “The garden of Speech”, the embroidered drawings of my father representing the landscape of Zeeland. The video “Zeeland”, a document filmed by Fuyumi Namioka and directed by Connie Dekker, will be projected at the museum at 18.30 h. on the 25th of June. After the projection a shuttle bus will be ready to bring you up to Monsummano Alto where the performance “Lo soffia il cielo. Cosí” will be executed. The Dutch poems were translated by Stephen Roach.
